Whale & Wildlife Report | July 31 - August 5, 2023

We were thrilled to run some epic Ocean Adventures this week, and we explored beautiful snorkel sites off the beaten path with some adventurous passengers. One of our groups had the opportunity to snorkel with a pod of pilot whales, always a thrilling activity! Our trips search the Kona coastlines and offshore areas to find unique whales and wildlife, and the exciting part about our adventures is every trip is different! The Kona Coast is abundant with marine life, and we can’t wait to see what we encounter this upcoming week!

Our night manta snorkels enjoyed beautiful conditions this week with lots of plankton and mantas! We love our ability to choose between manta sites, and this time Keauhau was the hot spot! The cruise during sunset to the south is always stunning, and guests enjoyed some friendly Spinner dolphin pods along the way. We saw lots of familiar mantas this week, and they were very active with lots of barrel rolling and close encounters! Sharing the experience of Kona’s manta rays with our guests is always special, and thank you to everyone who joined us on our adventures!
